Rafiki in situ!

I struggled thinking of an idea for Rafikis in situ! I wanted to keep the feel of the tree he lives in The Lion King, but then modernize it around new york! So had the idea of  a tree house, on the outskirts of New York. This is what it looks like so far.

The jungle alley way for simbaa!

This is the alley way where timon, simba and pumbaa live! im really pleased with the outcome of this in situ shot! i really like the jungle look on the wall and the realism of it all! Now to move on to my next in situ! 

In situ...

Here's some of my in situ designs so far. The hakuna matata bridge scene I need to clean up a few of players, epecially the bridge. And here's the scene I had in mind for Simba, when he lives with Timon and Pumbaa. They live on the street but they've painted the walls to look like a jungle paradise (like where they live on the lion king film) and overgrown trees. Its a working progress and I really need to re paint the over grown tree on the corner building. any feed back is cool!



Expressions!

Lately all I've been doing is using the computers so I decided to draw out Pumbaa and Rafiki's expressions sheets. Had a lot of fun drawing these two because I could really play about with them. I picked a few of my favorite expressions to use for the colour sheet, but also chose a few I wasn't too happy with so I could give them more feel by using colour. Hope you like!

 I have another sheet of expressions for Rafiki, which I need to scan.

A feel for the

We have to do every character in situ, so for Timon and Pumbaa i thought about when their singing hakuna matata and crossing the log while Simba grows up! I found a photo of a bride in central park and thought it be a perfect match for what I plan on doing so here's a quick feel of what it might look like. I've still got a lot to do and I'll probably change it to the night scene but here it is...
